Anna Schultz Wins Southern Senior

Schultz, Rockwall, Texas, withstood a third round rally from defending
champion Martha Lang to win her first WSGA Senior title with a three round
score of 228.
The round was delayed by two weather interruptions but Schultz
managed to finish with a four over par 77 to win by two strokes.
Martha Lang found that improved game she had been looking for and
shot one over par 74. The low
round of the tournament was shot in the third round by Caroline Ramsey,
Bridgeport, West Virginia at 73 which propelled her into third place.

Beth Curlin
Local
favorite Beth Curlin continued her solid play to secure her Super Senior
trophy and finished tied for 6th place. This year the WSGA Senior had
contestants from all of its fifteen states. Five of the players are
leaving this tournament to compete in the USGA Women’s Senior at St.
Simons Island, Georgia.
